SIX Student Residence is an award-winning student accommodation development located adjacent to the University of Nicosia campus in Agios Dometios, Cyprus. Designed to redefine student living through innovative architecture and high-quality residential spaces, the project combines contemporary design, functionality, and community-focused living within a vibrant university environment.
Developed as one of Cyprus's most distinctive student housing projects, SIX accommodates approximately 310 students across a range of modern residential units and shared facilities. The development creates a dynamic living experience that promotes social interaction, comfort, and convenience while maintaining strong architectural character. Its striking concrete structure, exposed architectural elements, and bold geometric composition have established SIX as a landmark within the university district. The project received international recognition, including a World Architecture Festival (WAF) Award in the Residential Future Projects category.
Architectural Design Concept
Designed by Eraclis Papachristou Architectural Office, SIX explores the relationship between private student living and communal interaction. The architectural concept is based on six interconnected residential blocks arranged around shared spaces that encourage communication and community engagement.
The building's exposed concrete structure, dramatic vertical circulation cores, and elevated communal areas create a distinctive architectural identity while maximizing natural light, ventilation, and urban connectivity. The design balances individual privacy with collective student life, offering residents a modern and inspiring environment in which to live, study, and socialize.
